Northwest Music Blog Posts Sorry
Looky! Sorry just got posted by Northwest Music Blog, and we got a comparison to early Death Cab, about as a nice a compliment as one could ask for. Matt of NWMB writes that he hears "an affinity for the early Death Cab sound, which isn’t a bad thing ... Good stuff, boys." Woo hoo! Many thanks to Matt for the post!
If there are other folks out there named Matt, we'd like to meet you. Many people named Matt have done nice things for Sorry over the years. Granted, if you are named something other than Matt and want to do something nice for Sorry, we're sure a meeting could be arranged.
Sorry at the Mars Bar in March with Spanish for 100
Our March 13 show (Yes! A Friday night show! What a stroke of good luck!) is now 100% confirmed and will be our first ever show with Spanish for 100, a Seattle band who KEXP's John Richards recently named Your New Favorite Band. If You like them, we're pretty sure we will too. Also, for the record, we are more than happy to settle for 2nd or even distant 3rd New Favorite Band.
SP4100 used to be Preston Mill, who was a band that was cool before Sorry was even a band. Well, at least before Sorry was a band with the name 'Sorry'. Sorry has been a band since we were in high school and playing Duran Duran covers in Derek's parents basement. We truly should really be much, much better than we are.
Come on out and see your New Favorite and Third Favorite band at the Mars Bar.
Headed to the Sunset, For Real
It's fully official -- we return from our year-long break from playing shows, what in the biz they call "dormant" and we call lazy. To make up for it, we have a sparkling new CD for the new year and a full-fledged, official CD release party to ring it in. We think it's a good one, well worth the wait -- we hope you think the same!
Please mark your calendar and plan to come out and have a beverage and take in the show -- best $6 you will spend in January.
